Greetings! I am Yolanda M. Johnson-Bryant. I’m a writer and a photographer. In 2016 I was blessed to be able to retire after many years of being a publisher, self-publishing consultant, social media marketing and branding consultant and graphic designer. Now, I’m simply a writer that loves to shoot and a shooter that loves to write.
In addition to being a photographer and a writer, I am a radio host. To learn about my show, order my books and learn more about me, you can visit my personal webpage at yolandamjohnsonbryant.com.
I guess I have always been a photographer in some shape or form. I’ve always found the beauty in the simplest things, and if I wasn’t capturing them on my smart phone, I was capturing moments on my Canon Sure Shot or my JVC Camera. Whether it was a special event, a pretty flower or an interesting person, I always savored the moment by capturing it in photo.
It wasn’t until I received my first DSLR, a Nikon to be exact, (Yay team Nikon!) and after I had someone ask if I could take a couple of pictures for their family’s Christmas card that I realized this was something I wanted to do full-time. So I set out, building up portfolio and, viola, history was made.
Currently, I “shoot” families, children, couples, branding entrepreneurs, and events. Non-professionally, I shoot nature, landscape and a little of this and a little of that. My favorite thing to shoot is my beautiful granddaughter. You’ll see a lot of her around these here parts. I believe the old saying about loving what you do is so true. I’m happy and I love it. Besides writing, I can’t see myself doing anything else!
